Vijaya Balaji is a strategic leader in organisational development and ecosystem design, with over two decades of experience in strengthening how capacity-building is delivered and scaled.

Her foray into the sector began with setting up toolbox INDIA’s Indian operations, introducing pro bono, volunteer-driven capacity-building to social-purpose organisations in India.

As Founder and CEO of Social Lens, she leads a trusted intermediary enterprise focused on venture strengthening for enhanced last-mile delivery, with over 800 projects delivered nationwide.

She has advanced flagship initiatives including GROW, the Genpact Social Impact Fellowship, the Social Impact Optimisation Program, toolbox INDIA’s Value Circle, AVPN’s Impact Collab Lab, the Woman Collective - amplifying the voices of changemaking women - WINGS, Apnalaya, and toolbox Pollinate Impact.

Outside of work, Vijaya writes on culture and nostalgia, and is an ardent lover of dogs.
